Self-study is not just for teachers!
If you are a practitioner interested in improving your practice, the self-study methodology is a way to do just that.
You may be a reading specialist, school or community counselor, an administrator, a health education specialist, a communications specialist, a research methodologist, a public policy analyst, a science coordinator, a university accreditation specialist, or an accountability analyst. Indeed, some of the students I taught about self-study research held those positions.
